Kansas making Macon stop in January

The rock group Kansas, known for hits including “Dust in the Wind,” is scheduled to play in Macon in January.

The band is set to play an 8 p.m. show at the Cox Capitol Theatre on Jan. 10, 2015, with opening act Arc & Stones.

Tickets start at $45 and go on sale to the public Friday. All tickets are general admission, except for box seats, which are sold as an entire box with admission for eight.

Kansas hit the big time in 1976 with the release of its fourth album, “Leftoverture,” which produced the hit single “Carry On Wayward Son.” In 1977, the follow-up, “Point of Know Return,” featured the title track and “Dust in the Wind,” both hit singles.

“Leftoverture” and “Point of Know Return” each sold more than 4 million copies in the U.S.
