Tobesofkee to host 20th July Fourth celebration

Macon-Bibb County will host the 20th Sparks Over the Park Independence Day Celebration at Lake Tobesofkee on Friday.

Claystone and Arrowhead parks will open at 6 a.m., and Sandy Beach and other beaches will open at 9 a.m. Lifeguards will be on duty beginning at 9 a.m.

Among the activities set for the Fourth of July celebration are live music from the Loose Screws and a fireworks show, in addition to regular activities at the park.

The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Admission to the park is $3 for everyone over 6 years old, and no alcohol or glass containers are allowed.
