Macon man shot in argument at south Macon motel

A 34-year-old man was shot early Sunday morning during an argument at America’s Best Inn on Harrison Road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Cole, of Macon, was arguing with his girlfriend, 24-year-old Laqunza Williams, at about 5 a.m. when a man known as “Squirrel” got between the two. Cole has said “Squirrel” then argued with him and shot him in the right shoulder, according to a news release.

Cole was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition Sunday.

“Squirrel” is described as a 6-foot tall light-skinned black man who weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black, according to the release.
