Gordon company looking to fill up to 20 jobs

The Georgia Department of Labor is helping a Gordon company fill some job openings.

Rescar Inc., which has a rail car maintenance facility in Gordon, is looking to fill up to 20 jobs, according to a news release. The company repairs, paints, coats and cleans rail cars.

Recruitments for the Wilkinson County company are scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday and July 8 at the Department of Labor’s Milledgeville Career Center at 156 Roberson Road.

The company is recruiting supervisors, switching managers, mechanics, inspectors and painters.

Salaries range from $60,000 a year for supervisors and $50,000 for switching managers to $14-$21 an hour for mechanics, inspectors and painters, according to the release.

Veterans are encouraged to apply. All applicants are encouraged to take a resume or work history and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.

The company will conduct a background check and a drug-screening test.
