Bibb sheriff’s office makes 9 arrests as part of nationwide operation targeting sex trafficking

As part of a nationwide sting involving the FBI, a multi-agency operation targeting prostitution at a Bibb County hotel led to the arrests of nine people.

The nationwide operation was conducted last week by the FBI to address commercial child sex trafficking, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The Bibb County operation, which took place over two days, included the sheriff’s offices’ Special Investigations Unit along with members of the FBI, the GBI and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, according to the news release.

“The dedicated Bibb investigators with our Special Investigations Unit are proud to partner with these federal, state, and county agencies to help identify the unwilling victims and to bring the repulsive offenders to justice,” Bibb Sheriff David Davis said in the release.

Muhamad Vasser, 28, of Macon, was charged with pimping. Raymond Chapman, 20, of Riverdale, was charged with pimping and marijuana possession. Teronica Few, 20, of Atlanta; Kara Brown, 24, of Centerville; and Ronika Norwood, 19, Lakesha White, 20, and Nokosha White, 21, who are from Macon, were charged with prostitution. Talitha Jackson, 28, of Macon, was arrested on a warrant of contempt of court. And Jasmine Sallette, 22, of Macon, was arrested on a contempt warrant.
