Residents of Macon-Bibb County Commission’s District 3, which covers much of the east side of the city, can talk to Commissioner Elaine Lucas and Mayor Robert Reichert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The public forum will be held in the East Macon Community Center, 3326 Ocmulgee East Blvd.

“This will be a great opportunity for people to learn about specific projects and ask their elected officials questions directly,” Lucas said in a news release. “I want to hear from people on how they want to improve their community.”

She plans to talk about recreation programs and the projects being built with special purpose local option sales tax money. Residents also can hear how to report neighborhood issues on the SeeClickFix system.

Similar meetings have been held in five other commission districts. Forums for districts 1, 2 and 9 remain to be scheduled.
