Youth gun forum set for Thursday

A public forum on youth and gun violence is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Macon-Bibb County Commission chambers, 700 Poplar St.

Commissioner Al Tillman and Pam Lightsey from the U.S. Attorney’s Office will serve as moderators, according to a news release.

“We need to let people know there are other ways to resolve their issues besides violence and guns,” Tillman said in the announcement. “I hope we get some new ideas and new ways to reach people and change their lives.”

Local political, law enforcement and religious figures are to serve as panelists. The forum will be streamed live at
