Trash collections starting earlier in Macon-Bibb to beat the heat

Trash pickups across Macon-Bibb County will soon start earlier in the day to help workers cope with the summer heat.

Beginning June 30, the Solid Waste Department will make collections from 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, according to a news release.

The landfill hours will remain the same: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
