Two young men were shot and wounded, one critically, late Saturday in what investigators believe may have been the same hail of gunfire.

At 11:51 p.m. Saturday, Bibb County deputies were alerted that an 18-year-old man had been shot in the head on Winton Avenue, between Napier and Montpelier avenues.

The victim, Michael Billue, was taken to a hospital by ambulance where he was in critical but stable condition Sunday evening, deputies said.

Seven minutes after the first shooting was reported, deputies learned that another man, this one with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, had been taken to a city hospital and dropped off.

Deputies said that whoever carted the second victim, 22-year-old Erin Deshawn Johnson, to the hospital soon left.

Johnson’s condition was said to be stable, according to a sheriff’s office news release Sunday night.

No arrests had been made, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The shootings appear to have happened on Unionville’s north side, three blocks west of Pio Nono Avenue not far behind the old bread bakery on Montpelier.
