PERRY -- With his wife and daughter in the courtroom Wednesday morning, a Centerville preacher accused of child molestation entered a not guilty plea.

Wiley Green Leverett, 54, pastor of the Solid Rock Community Church, is accused of inappropriately touching four girls ages 8 to 16.

He was indicted on four counts of child molestation, four counts of sexual battery and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

The alleged incidents took place between April 2008 and April 2011 with one child, between August 2009 and April 2012 with another, in April 2013 with a third girl and between January 2010 and January 2012 with the fourth child.

Leverett, also owner of Leverett Auto Sales in Warner Robins, entered his not guilty plea before Houston County Superior Court Judge George Nunn. Leverett adamantly denies the charges, his attorney William H. Noland said afterward.

Leverett, who continues to preach, is out of jail on a $25,000 bond pending trial. The bond includes special conditions of electronic monitoring and house arrest. He also may not have contact with children age 18 and under “except insofar as such contact is incident to his preaching responsibilities while in the sanctuary” of his church during Sunday services. He also may have contact with his grandchildren with permission of their parents.

“Every indication I have, they’re 100 percent behind him and that he’s still preaching,” Noland said of Leverett’s congregation.

Outside the courtroom, Leverett thanked a handful of people at his court appearance for their support and prayers.
