The Cop Shop: Woman accused of flashing mailman, others

An apartment maintenance man said he saw a woman dancing in the complex parking lot with her bra showing and her “boobs hanging out.” A Bibb County sheriff’s deputy’s incident report went on to note that the woman, 33, was also “exposing herself to the residents and the mailman.” The episode happened about 4 in the afternoon on May 27 at Pine Ridge Apartments on Clinton Road. The woman, who lives on Bloomfield Road across town, was there when the deputy arrived. “She was told to pull her blouse down,” he wrote in his report. “The suspect became combative.” She tried to run but was caught and taken to jail on disorderly conduct and indecent exposure charges.

A reportedly dazed-looking woman who lives on Beech Avenue, a block south of Napier Avenue near Pio Nono Avenue, called the cops May 25 to report a series of trespassing incidents. The trespasses were rather unusual. The woman, 34, said that in recent days someone had left a ring box in her yard. Later she found a plastic ring on the dashboard of her car. Then someone sprayed two “Vs” on the back of her house with Silly String. The woman, glassy-eyed and slurring her speech, invited a pair of deputies into her house. The place reeked of burnt marijuana. One of the cops asked the woman if she smoked weed, a report noted. “She advised she smoked but did not have any.”

It was about 1:45 in the morning May 14 when a 24-year-old Lizella-area man told authorities that a friend of his had called and, according to an incident report, said “he was loading his shotgun and on his way ... to kill him.” The friend, 26, also allegedly threatened another man. The angry man never showed, but he was said to be upset because the two men he supposedly threatened had left his cornhole boards outside.

A Gray Highway man found a note beside his door May 16 that warned him to keep out of someone else’s apartment, or else. “Stay out my apartment ... I don’t want to hurt you ... I kill once ... I’ll kill again ... I’m begging ... I’m tired.” The man who reported finding the message told a Bibb deputy that he doesn’t go in other apartments and that he had no clue who wrote the note.

A pair of teenage girls were nabbed outside the Gray Highway Wal-Mart on May 22 for allegedly trying to make off with a box of condoms, a pregnancy-test kit and some baby bottles.

Later that day, a Bibb deputy was dispatched to a fight in progress at a Bloomfield Road beauty parlor. A 22-year-old woman there had been confronted by a 41-year-old woman at the parlor about stealing two packs of fake hair. The suspect and a 21-year-old woman with her tried to run but the door was locked, an incident report said. They then “tried to engage (the victim) in combat.” The victim sprayed one of the women with pepper spray and then waited for the cops.

A 44-year-old Jones County woman was driving away from the Church’s Chicken on Shurling Drive shortly before midnight May 29. She said her boyfriend, 45, who was riding with her, began banging the dashboard and whacking the windshield of her 1999 Lexus with a beer bottle. She told a Bibb deputy that her boyfriend was mad “because of a dispute over a child that might not be his.”
