The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office does not expect to file charges after a Gordon man died a month after a motorcycle accident.

Charles Peterson, 55, was on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle May 3 when he rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a traffic light on Mercer University Drive at the intersection of Columbus Road and Delwood Drive, according to an accident report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Peterson suffered a broken neck, skull fracture and other broken bones, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

He died Tuesday at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
