Sunday public ice skating canceled at Macon Coliseum, to return Monday

Those hoping to slip, slide their way into the summer season will have to wait until Monday.

Sunday's public ice skating session at the Macon Coliseum was canceled.

A sign on the entrance to the arena states: "Ice skating post-poned till June 2, 2014. Sorry for any inconvenience."

A news release issued Sunday night indicated technical problems caused Sunday's cancellation.

The ice skating schedule is expected to resume Monday from noon-4 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m.

Skating is schedule for the same times Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Late night skating from 8:30-11p.m. is held Friday and Saturday nights.

Cost is $10 per person, including skates. Spectators can watch for free.
