The autopsy on a body found Tuesday in south Dodge County won’t be performed until Thursday, according to the GBI.

The body, believed to be that of a female, may be the remains of a Dodge woman reported missing on Friday.

The missing woman, Patricia Durden, 36, was last seen May 20, Dodge Sheriff James Sheffield said. He added that she had past “medical issues.”

Authorities are not sure if foul play was involved in the death of the body that was found Tuesday afternoon a mile or so south of Durden’s home.

The body was discovered by searchers looking for Durden near Jaybird Springs Road and Gum Swamp Creek, about three miles north of U.S. 341, between Eastman and McRae.
