Wreck backs up traffic in Forsyth

A wreck on rain-slickened southbound Interstate 75 in Forsyth backed up traffic more than five miles Tuesday afternoon, but no one was hurt in the crash, which involved at least one tractor-trailer truck.

The wreck happened near mile marker 186, inside the Forsyth city limits, about 1:30 p.m. The snarl was cleared within an hour or so, said Monroe County sheriff’s deputy Brad Freeman.

“It was just a few vehicles involved, but it tied up traffic,” he said.
