Teva Ilan is not your average valedictorian.
The Howard High School senior has split his time among robots, tae kwon do, Boy Scouting and the orchestra.
And he still made time to graduate with a 4.0 grade-point average, become a Georgia Scholar, receive a National Merit scholarship and get accepted into Princeton University. Ilan, 18, plans to major in physics.
In fact, one of his favorite activities in his schools science club is traveling to elementary schools and making science presentations.
When I was a little kid, I was inspired by scientists I saw in documentaries, he said, and I wanted to do that for other people.
Ilan is a member of Bibb Countys robotics team, a violinist in the Macon Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Howard High School orchestra, plays piano and guitar, has a black belt in tae kwon do, and is an Eagle Scout.
