Bibb deputies are looking for a man who left a north Macon supermarket with a black trash bag loaded with stolen meat early Sunday.

Investigators released surveillance images Tuesday from what they referred to as an armed robbery of the Kroger at 4650 Forsyth Road just before 1 a.m. Sunday.

The 5-foot-10-inch tall black man, with a black do-rag on his head, dressed in a black T-shirt, black pants and black and white tennis shoes, walked into the store with the bag, went to the meat department and returned to the door with the sack loaded down, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

When a store employee tried to stop him from leaving, the man pulled out a box cutter and got away.

Anyone with information or who recognizes the robber is asked to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask for an on-call investigator.
