Families with children are invited to the free EMS for Children picnic Tuesday evening at Lake Tobesofkee.

From 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Sandy Beach Park, public safety workers from across Middle Georgia will be teaching summer safety, injury prevention and promoting healthy choices.

The picnic includes free food, games, clowns, safety presentations, music and preschool carnival activities, according to a news release from Mid Georgia Ambulance.

First responders from Bibb, Houston, Monroe, Jones and Putnam counties are expected to participate along with an Air Evac Lifeteam.
