Under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. 7:30 p.m. $20.

The Winter Sounds at the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom

The Winter Sounds started in Athens but now they call New Orleans home. Their form of synth-filled music was made for dancing. These days, the Winter Sounds play their foot moving sounds at more than 100 shows a year. Macon is very lucky to host one of those shows. 21 and up. 10 p.m. $5.

Sunday, May 11

Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band at Washington Park

With our favorite music festival, Bragg Jam, taking over our favorite monthly outdoor music event, Second Sunday, I am sure we are in for a lot of great music. They are starting off this new union with a special treat. Jaimoe is best known as the drummer for the Allman Brothers Band but his solo project is a jazz band that will thrill listeners new to jazz as well as more experienced fans of the genre. Second Sunday is family friendly, so bring the kids. 6 p.m. Free.

Thursday, May 15

Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band at Cox Capitol Theatre

The Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band’s name says it all, doesn’t it? This Athens band loves the music of Jerry Garcia as much as you do. They have been making their name known in Macon by playing jam packed shows at Roasted Cafe and Lounge and the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom. They are joined by another Athens jam favorite, Sweet Knievel. Under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. 7:30 p.m. $8.
