Man in critical condition after Poplar Street shooting

A shooting early Saturday morning left a Macon man in critical condition.

Witnesses said Jarvin Jackson, 24, was getting out of his car when he was shot in the right side of his abdomen by an unknown male, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office release. The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. on Poplar Street near Second Street.

Jackson is listed in critical but stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
