Gunmen try to rob Gray Highway fast food restaurant

Bibb County deputies are looking for two men who tried to rob the Wendy’s at 1073 Gray Highway early Monday.

Just before 12:30 a.m., the men came in, and one of them pointed what appeared to be an assault rifle at the employees and demanded money, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The workers said they could not access the money, and the men ran away.

The man with the gun is described as a black man about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a brown shirt, black pants and a bandana over his face.

The second black male was about 5 feet 10 and about 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt and black pants and also had a bandana over his face.
