“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson’s personal experience with adoption made him the perfect fit for a fundraiser for Caring Solutions Pregnancy Center being held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Macon Coliseum, Caring Solutions’ executive director Christina Middleton said.

“He’ll talk about his faith, family and ducks, including his personal story with adoption when he took a little boy into his home,” she said. “That ties into our theme of the options that women have available to them and gives people a chance to hear someone on the other side say what a blessing it has been to their family.”

Caring Solutions assists women facing unplanned pregnancy with counseling, referrals, parenting education and more, Middleton said.

“We like to call it a safe zone, where they can come and just breathe and take refuge while they go through an array of emotions,” she said.

The event will open with a Battle of the Bands winner playing a “Duck Dynasty”-themed song and will include a Robertson lookalike contest that the reality-TV star will judge.
