Terry Middleton

A 40-year-old man walked out of his bedroom Tuesday afternoon and dodged gunfire.

The Blackmon Avenue victim told investigators the gunman was inside the back door and started shooting at him as he ran out the front door of the house, which is on a short street between Napier and Montpelier avenues, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies later identified 22-year-old Terry Lamar Middleton of Oakland Avenue as the suspect and arrested him Tuesday evening.

Middleton is charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.
