A 15-year-old from Macon is in stable condition at a hospital after the motorized scooter he was driving struck the side of a vehicle at the Eisenhower Parkway and Houston Avenue intersection, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The news release said the teen, who hasn’t been identified, was traveling north in a vacant lot on Houston Avenue on a 50cc motorized scooter when he entered Eisenhower Parkway.

A green 2007 Ford Focus driven by a woman with a Rebecca address was in the right lane on Eisenhower Parkway traveling west when the scooter struck the driver’s side while the Focus had the green light. Bledsoe was checked for injuries at the scene but wasn’t taken to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500.
