Bibb deputy arrested after love-triangle allegations

A Bibb County deputy is under suspension after he was arrested on an identity theft charge Friday night.

Curtis Ryan Willis, 35, is being held in the Bibb County jail on a $3,600 bond, according to release. He is facing a felony identity theft charge and misdemeanor charges of stalking and making harassing phone calls.

According to a release, the charges stemmed from an attempt by Willis to disrupt the relationship of his ex girlfriend and her boyfriend. He allegedly used the identity of a female friend to send explicit text messages to the boyfriend. He also allegedly sent text messages to his former girlfriend under the false identity.

The release stated that he turned himself in Friday evening.

He has been suspended pending an internal investigation.
