Work continues on relocated Porter house

The TelegraphApril 18, 2014

Work continues on an historic home moved from south Bibb County to Weslyean College.

The home belonged to James Hyde Porter who was an important benefactor of Wesleyan College. The home was moved from its original location on what had been the Porter farm off of Houston Road.

One architectural element yet to be moved is a castle turret-like corner of the home.
