The Georgia Department of Transportation has it plans to close lanes of Interstate 75 and lanes of some of the ramps. The closures in Macon will run Wednesday night through Thursday morning, and Thursday night through Friday morning.

The closures are scheduled to run from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

“The ramps will remain open. Just a lane or shoulder will be closed,” spokeswoman Kimberly Larson said.

Those closures include, beginning Wednesday night through Thursday morning, a lane on the Interstate 75 southbound ramps to Arkwright Road and Pierce Avenue exits, and a single lane closure on the interstate itself between mile markers 166 and 169, a several-mile stretch roughly centered on Pierce Avenue.

Beginning Thursday night, workers plan to close a single lane of the ramps from Interstate 75 northbound to Arkwright Road and Pierce Avenue, as well as a lane of the highway itself between mile markers 166 and 169, centered on Pierce Avenue.
