Educator named state Economics Teacher of Year

A Kings Chapel Elementary School teacher will be honored as the Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year on May 13 in Atlanta.

Fourth-grade teacher Angie Battle was chosen as an educator who made “outstanding contributions to the teaching of economics in Georgia schools,” according to a news release.

“Angie Battle does a wonderful job bringing economics instruction into the elementary classroom,” Pam Knauer, coordinator of social studies, said in the release. “She is creative and brings so much passion to social studies instruction.”
