Ford Explorer overturns in Monroe County

Staff reportApril 15, 2014

A Ford Explorer overturned about 8 p.m. Tuesday on Rumble Road, entrapping the driver.

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies found the vehicle -- which was resting on its roof -- after the driver apparently left the roadway, over-corrected and lost control, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The male driver, whose name was not released, was extricated by Monroe County EMS and taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and the accident is under investigation.
