SPECIAL TO THE TELEGRAPH

If you’re trying to get the word out on your new book, you could do a lot worse than a picture of the president looking through it.

That’s just what happened to first-time author Kimberly Sandefur of Macon. Pictures of President Barack Obama holding a copy of her book, “Let’s Get Healthy,” during a recent Democratic Senatorial Committee meeting are making the rounds on Facebook.

The book is a humorous story that tells Americans to get healthy, eat right and get up and move. It sells for $12.50 on Amazon.com.

Sandefur has a book signing April 19 from noon-2 p.m. at the Hire Grounds Café, located at 5171 Eisenhower Parkway.
