Ocmulgee trail closed till Friday

Staff reportApril 9, 2014

The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail in Macon is closed Wednesday and Thursday because of flooding.

The trail should reopen Friday, when the river level has receded, according to a tweet from the Macon-Bibb County government.

The National Weather Service says the river level should hit about 19.3 feet on Wednesday, more than a foot above the flood stage, before dropping to about 11 feet by Sunday.
