Bibb County sheriffs deputies say a pedestrian trying to cross Riverside Drive failed to use a crosswalk Tuesday afternoon and was hit by an SUV.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. near Spring Street in Macon, according to a Bibb County Sheriffs Office news release.
Authorities took the victim, a 15-year-old from Macon, to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition, the release stated.
A 43-year-old Macon woman traveling westbound on Riverside in a Mercedes Benz SUV struck the teenager. Witnesses told deputies the SUV had a green light at the time of the accident. No charges were immediately filed.
