An 83-year-old Macon woman died after crashing her car Monday night on Zebulon Road.

Just before 7:45 p.m., Agnes Beck was headed east in a 2009 Toyota Camry when she crossed over the westbound lane and hit a fence between Powers Plantation and Plantation Oaks drives, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Beck initially was taken to Coliseum Northside Hospital in critical but stable condition, but she was transferred to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where she died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.

“She did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, so we believe a medical condition caused her death and the accident,” said Lonnie Miley, assistant Bibb County coroner.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.
