WARNER ROBINS -- Warner Robins police Officer Kristen Morgan has been named the agency’s 2013 Officer of the Year.

Assigned to patrol Squad 1, Morgan has been with Warner Robins police since 2012, according to the police blog. She has her sights set on moving into investigations as she progresses in her law enforcement career.

Morgan was nominated by one of her fellow officers.

“Officer Morgan does a thorough job investigating the incidents and often will conduct follow up investigations on her own, without being asked,” states an excerpt from her nomination letter. “Officer Morgan’s work ethic motivates me to continue working harder and to go the extra mile.”

Morgan is expected to be honored along with other officers of the year for each of Houston County’s law enforcement agencies at a Warner Robins Noon Optimist Club meeting later this year.

The club annually honors the Officer of the Year as chosen by individual city and county agencies as well as a security squadron on Robins Air Force Base as part of the club’s annual Respect for Law program.
