Toni Henson Slade will perform at the annual Covenant Care Services Ladies Night Out on Thursday at Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Slade is a former Miss Warner Robins and Miss Northside High School and is founder of Project Giving, a nonprofit organization that helps to meet expenses associated with medical needs.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Covenant Care Services has placed more than 500 children for adoption since 1989 and has provided support for more than 5,000 women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
We are very excited to have a local person that is known in the area, said Sandra Neal, an event organizer. We are also very excited about having someone of her abilities and her heart for people because that is what Covenant Care is all about, meeting people at their point of need.
The Ladies Night Out event is an opportunity for Covenant Care to not only raise funds for their ministry but to thank people in Warner Robins.
Our main goal is to support women and help them understand there is an option that will give their child a good life and a good future, Neal said.
Proceeds from this event, which also includes a dessert reception, benefit the pro-life adoption ministries of Covenant Care in Middle Georgia and throughout the state.
