New citizens sworn in Macon ceremony

— About 50 people took the Oath of Allegiance to become US Citizens in a ceremony in Macon.

The ceremony took place in a courtroom of the William Augustus Bootle Federal Building downtown.

There to support the new Americans were an honor guard from the Sons of the American Revolution, friends and spouses.

The people taking the oath came from some 15 different countries around the globe.
