Former ‘American Idol’ finalists to perform at Grand Opera House

Fans of “American Idol” can see some of the show’s talent up close later this month when four former finalists of the Fox reality series headline performances at the Grand Opera House in Macon.

Vocalists Jacob Lusk and Karen Rodriguez from season 10, Haley Scarnato from season 6 and Von Smith from season 8 will star in “American Idol Stars: Celebrate Broadway” on Saturday, April 26, according to a news release. The show is described as a Broadway revue-style concert featuring musical theater’s greatest songs. Tickets are $32 to $45. Four Middle Georgians will get a chance to join the “Idol” finalists. Local affiliate Fox 24 will hold auditions April 19. Details will be posted online Tuesday at www.TheGrandMacon.com/auditions, according to the release.
