WARNER ROBINS -- An Atlanta man has been arrested in connection with an early Monday burglary of a store near Ga. 96 and South Houston Lake Road.

Terrance Marquice Tibbs, 30, was being held at the Houston County jail on the burglary charge, police said.

According to a Warner Robins police news release, a witness heard a loud bang coming from the vicinity of the Verizon Wireless store at 776 Ga. 96, No. 325 and then saw two men enter the store through a door.

Officers responding to the 4:47 a.m. call of a burglary in progress saw a dark colored vehicle leaving the parking lot from behind the business, the release stated.

Officers pulled the vehicle over, and its driver, Tibbs, was taken to the Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center for questioning.

Additional investigation led detectives to charge Tibbs with the burglary.

Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for police, said Tibbs was the only one in the vehicle when pulled over.
