House fire on Courtland Avenue

People from the neighborhood watch as firefighters extinguish a blaze at a home on Courtland Avenue in Macon Sunday night. Macon-Bibb Firefighters responded to the fire a little before 9pm. A resident of the home who did not wish to be named said that she as well as her extended family, including her mother and father, got out of the home safely.

— Macon-Bibb Firefighters responded a fire at a home on Courtland Avenue a little before 9pm.

Before firefighters got the blaze under control, it could be seen above the roof lines and trees on nearby Pio Nono Avenue.

A resident of the home who did not wish to be named said that she, as well as her extended family, including her mother and father, got out of the home safely.
