Bibb County man sought on attempted murder charge

A Bibb County man is wanted by authorities after he allegedly stabbed his wife in the face during an argument Friday night.

The man was identified as 54-year-old Anthony Johnson. He was described as a black male, standing 5 feet 11 inches in height and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, green shirt, and blue jeans.

During the 7:30 p.m. incident in the 3000 block of Ada Street, Johnson is accused of grabbing a large knife and stabbing 46-year-old Felicia Johnson in the left cheek. She also suffered a laceration to the back of her head, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

She was taken to a local hospital where she was listed in stable condition, the release stated.

Bibb sheriff’s investigators have a warrant for Anthony Johnson’s arrest on the charge of attempted murder, the release stated. He also has four unrelated outstanding warrants.
