Byron woman wins $255,000 in lottery

Georgia Lottery winner Chantay Ethridge won a total of $255,193 from the March 23 Fantasy 5 drawing.

WARNER ROBINS -- A Byron woman has claimed a $255,187 jackpot from a lottery ticket she bought in Warner Robins.

Chantay Ethridge, 40, bought her ticket at the 7-11-8 Gas & Food Mart at 1660 Watson Blvd.

“My husband woke me up, and I was in disbelief. I am super excited,” Ethridge said in a statement released through the Georgia Lottery Corp.

Ethridge has made her living selling items on eBay. She and her husband, Charles, have two children, ages 10 and 22.

Ethridge won in the Fantasy 5 game, matching all five numbers from the March 23 drawing. Another winning ticket was sold in Albany.

She won with the numbers 1, 10, 11, 15 and 23.

Ethridge played more than one Fantasy 5 draw for the day and also won an additional $6, bringing her total winnings to $255,193, according to Georgia Lottery Corp.
