Macon woman says I-75 driver shot her Jaguar

A Macon woman in a 2012 Jaguar XJL said she hadn’t long pulled onto Interstate 75 from Eisenhower Parkway on Sunday afternoon when the driver of another car shot at her.

A Bibb County sheriff’s deputy’s report of the 2:30 p.m. shooting said it happened on northbound I-75 near Hardeman Avenue.

The Jaguar’s driver, 20, and a female passenger with her were not hurt, but the car’s sunroof was hit by a bullet.

The deputy’s report mentioned there was no road-rage incident between the drivers. The women in the Jaguar said they’d never seen the shooter or the other car, which they described as a charcoal-gray Acura.

They gave the deputy its license plate number, which, according to the deputy, showed the car belonging to a Warner Robins woman.

An investigator is looking into the episode.
