A gunman injured a female clerk by throwing her to the floor as he robbed the Fastee Foods at 2893 Napier Ave. early Monday.

Just before 6:20 a.m., the man demanded that the clerk give him money. He then ran, heading west on Napier Avenue, according to preliminary reports.

The gunman is described as a black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall who was wearing a dark ski mask across his face, blue and white pajama bottoms with an animal print and a black and white Adidas jacket with a large logo on the back, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The clerk was clutching her hand but was able to walk to the ambulance along with another employee, who did not appear to be hurt.

Bibb sheriff’s deputies were able to capture some surveillance images of the robbery.
