Building owner puts up Mercer banner (video)

Workers using a large crane install a 3,500-square-foot banner on the side of The Lofts at 401 Cherry St. on Thursday morning. Owner Jim Daws said his "artistic exuberance" was motivated by the force of history and recent events. "It captures Macon's music heritage and Mercer's presence," Daws said of the large-scale art that covers nearly the entire east side of the building.
