Man followed, hit and robbed at Macon apartment

A Macon robbery victim was followed from a gas station, hit and had his wallet taken Tuesday night at the River Bend Apartments.

The man told investigators he was walking from the BP in the 3600 block of Mercer University Drive when two men in dark hoodies began hitting him at the apartment complex, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Both men were believed to be in their early 20s and were about 5 feet 8 inches tall with medium builds.

The victim was not seriously hurt.
