Bibb County grand jurors have indicted two men and a woman in a Sept. 20, 2013, attempted armed robbery at S&S Cafeteria on Riverside Drive that left an assistant manager shot.

Marcus Lesha Huff, 22; Dwight Pernel Rainey, 19; and Lamisha Montasia Smith, 19, are charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony, burglary, aggravated assault and kidnapping, according to an indictment filed Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

Employees told police the alleged robbers were still inside when officers arrived at about 9:45 p.m. The front doors were locked by a dead bolt. Officers knocked on the back door, which also was locked, and the wounded assistant manager Vantoine Eason came outside.

Police didn't find the masked intruders when they went inside.
