Two Macon men have been charged with vehicular homicide on allegations they each, in separate vehicles, were driving under the influence of alcohol when they crashed into a car on Mercer University Drive on Nov. 3, 2012.

Steven Kyle Underwood, 26, and Fernando Lopez, 32, both of Macon, were indicted Tuesday in Bibb County Superior Court.

Underwood and Lopez allegedly collided with a Nissan Sentra near Bloomfield Road at about 3 a.m., killing 23-year-old Hector Perez and injuring three other people in the Nissan.

The indictment alleges Underwood additionally was under the influence of marijuana.
