A Macon man initially charged with murder in the 2010 death of a Roberta man was indicted Tuesday on an involuntary manslaughter charge.

Sharonte Terrell Davis, 23, is accused of shooting 32-year-old Ronald Howard in the back on Dec. 15, 2010, according to an indictment filed in Bibb County Superior Court.

Police have said Howard was shot in a car parked at 1887 Rocky Creek Road. Davis had been sitting in the back seat.

The indictment alleges Davis caused Howard's death while "intentionally and without legal justification pointing a pistol" at Howard.
