Gunman robs east Macon drugstore

A gunman robbed the Walgreens drugstore on Gray Highway early Tuesday morning.

At about 3 a.m., a black man about 5 feet 7 and weighing about 150 pounds pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded money, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The armed robber was wearing a bandana over his face, a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes when he ran away.

He appeared to have a limp in his right leg, according to the news release.
