Warner Robins man on bicycle dies after struck by pickup

WARNER ROBINS -- A 45-year-old man riding a bicycle died Sunday night near Watson Boulevard and Knodishall Drive after being hit by a pickup truck, police said.

Whit Martin of Warner Robins was pronounced dead at the scene, a Warner Robins police news release stated.

A 19-year-old man was pulling out of a parking lot at the Watson Central Shopping Center at 2191 Watson Blvd. as Martin was pedaling east on Watson Boulevard, the release stated. The pickup truck collided with bicycle.

No charges have been filed at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
